Spring 2002 Recital
The Spring 2002 student recital, presented by Richard Spross was held on May 26th 2002 in Orinda. Four students presented a number of pieces, including works by Bach, Carcassi, and Fernando Sor. In addition, we were lucky to have guest artist Geoffrey Stewart perform. Geoff was a member of the San Francisco Guitar Quartet. He has toured and recorded with the quartet as a principle guitarist. The quartet was one of the first to appear in regular concert venues after the Romero family had made it popular. He graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory and studied under the acclaimed guitarist Greek protege of Andres Segovia, Mr. George Sakalleriou.
